Who Knew 10 Was the Longest Number?

This week, I had to change the running schedule. As spring break was coming up and travel plans would interrupt my training plan, I could only run three out of four of my runs. This meant running Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with the longest being on Friday. I had a nine-hour drive ahead of me on Saturday which meant altering everything else to accommodate.

This week quickly became a turning point in my training, and thankfully for the better

People always say that you get to a point in which your body can do any length and stay on pace and it just goes into auto mode. This was my week. While running, especially on Friday, my body just kept running and did not tire out. Just like the phrase in Finding Nemo "just keep swimming," my body just kept going and did not stop.

On Friday, I almost hit my tipping point. This was a ten-mile run and who knew double digits would be the death of me. At mile nine, I almost started crying because it was so hard. Thankfully, I pushed through and got to the end. One of my roommates was there waiting to cheer me on as I got home which made it all worth it. I cannot believe my body did that and I have three weeks until the race.

It was so nice knowing that I did not have Sing and I could rest more during the day other than weeks prior. I could tell that my body was thankful for the extra time off and I was able to run better because of it.

Now, I am looking forward to running in Florida and changing the scenery of my runs! I cannot wait to update y'all on my runs through the beach!
